This was a monumental communications blunder that turned a decision that could have passed largely unnoticed... or even been spun into a positive...into a highly negative PR nightmare. Some of those LPGA spokespeople do seem extremely dumb and arrogant though, so I'm not really surprised. Sadly, once again the LPGA has arrogantly decided that they don’t need help with PR and Communications when clearly they do. Well-known golfers whose careers ended with the yips (Snead, Hogan, Trevino, Miller) all resisted centrifugal force by not letting it extend their club and arms on the downswing. This overuse tore small fibers in the muscles of their forearms, scar tissue formed, and their tense, scar-filled muscles spasmed when they had to lightly grip their putter.
